About YardPour

YardPour creates free, transparent concrete calculators. Every formula is displayed in plain text, every default assumption is editable, and we never invent keyword metrics or pretend to be licensed structural engineers.

Who builds YardPour

YardPour was built by YardPour Editorial Team to fix the frustration of opaque construction calculators. Most web tools bake arbitrary margins (like hidden 10% waste) into their output, cite national average prices without context, or push proprietary brand mixes.

Our goal is simple: provide honest geometry math and transparent planning tools for homeowners, contractors, and DIY builders.

Our principles

  • Visible math: We show formulas and algebraic steps on every page so you can verify results with a pencil and notepad.
  • 0% default waste: Geometry is geometry. We show net volume first, and let you select 5%, 10%, or custom waste percentages intentionally.
  • Sourced & editable yields: Default bag yields cite widely referenced manufacturer data sheets (e.g. QUIKRETE Concrete Mix No. 1101) . If the bag in your hand lists a different yield, you can edit the input directly.
  • Honest cost estimates: We do not publish arbitrary "2026 average" ready-mix prices. You enter your local quotes, delivery fees, and minimum load charges.
  • Clear boundaries: We do not offer structural engineering, architectural design, or code inspection advice.

Editorial and data standards

Content on YardPour is reviewed and maintained by our editorial team. Where specific technical values or building codes (like ACI or IRC guidelines) are cited, they are marked with an internal verification tag until validated against active local specifications.
